Hypogheios is a journey into the "I" within oneself, a descent into the abyss of the inner crypt (hypogeum) where light intertwines with shadow, where the boundaries are not orderly, where each sound has multiple meanings, each resonating in a unique and different way. The project, the brainchild of Daniel Bakalov and Roberto Priese, fuses electronic and instrumental music, creating a synergistic relationship between elements of different art disciplines. Priese's electronic instruments and Bakalov's percussion create a rich foundation for the extended voice of Costanza Savarese and the improvisations of instrumentalists Gilda Butta, Alberto Popolla, and Gianfranco Tedeschi.
