United Strings of Europe, a promising string orchestra based in London, makes its debut on SACD hybrid disc. In recent years, the standard of string orchestras has improved dramatically. The BIS label is committed to showcasing the best of these ensembles, and has released the first SACD hybrid disc of the Camerata Nordica, Musica Vitae, and the Ostrobosnian Chamber Orchestra, BIS has been actively releasing albums by such ensembles as Camerata Nordica, Musica Vitae, Ostrobothnia Chamber Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, and Amsterdam Sinfonietta. Europe" (USE) is a London-based ensemble.Young professionals from the European Union and Switzerland have come together with the goal of promoting musical and cultural cooperation at the highest level, and have already earned such accolades as "an original program and 'highly technical and expressive' performances" ("The Times"). The orchestra is led by Lebanese-British violinist Julian Azkoul, who is guest director of Camerata Nordica in Sweden and has appeared with orchestras around the world.
