Description:
Andreas Hack is a multi-instrumentalist who has been active as a keyboardist and main writer for the German melodic/symphonic rock band FREQUENCY DRIFT for a long time, and since the band went on hiatus, he has been actively involved in various projects such as FEELING OF PRESENCE and HAVEN OF ECHOES. The duo project, WHISPERS OF GRANITE, was founded by Andreas Hack, a multi-instrumentalist, and Trude Eidtang, a female vocalist who participated in WHITE WILLOW's 2006 album, "SIGNAL TO NOISE". The duo project, WHISPERS OF GRANITE, is now released from Apollon Records in Norway. The album is based on the immersive cinematic soundscapes that Andreas has been working on since his time with FREQUENCY DRIFT, and combines it with Trude's indie-folk/pop influences, resulting in a folktronica/ambient/progressive sound that is vaguely reminiscent of the sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The result is an appealing, vocal-driven, atmospheric sound that is a vague blend of folktronica, ambient, and progressive music.Trude's rich vocals and Andreas' thoughtful keyboard arrangements and guitar playing interact to weave a dualistic story of "sadness and hope," "fragility and strength," and other themes in this beautiful but profoundly somber and introspective expression.
