4AD's popular male/female duo, Purity Ring, releases new album! Halifax/Montreal, Canada based male/female duo, Purity Ring, releases their long-awaited second album from <4AD>! This is the first time that the two artists have ever performed together in the same room. This is the first time the two have worked together in the same room, and was produced in their hometown of Birmington. The album features vocalist Megan more up front, with Colin in a producer role, and expresses an open atmosphere, a change from the closed atmosphere of the previous album. This album is also self-produced, and in terms of sound, it is a complete change from the dubstep-tinged debut album to a pop album with beautiful electronic sounds. When their last album was released, Lady Gaga, who was fascinated by their R&B and hip-hop-loving sound, asked them to remix her song "Applause," and they became a hot topic of conversation as the official remix artist for the song.He is also an electronic artist and has collaborated with Jon Hopkins, who produces for Coldplay, and popular rapper Danny Brown.
