PETER GREEN, one of the most famous guitarists in the British blues scene and a blues guitar legend known for his work in the early days of FLEETWOOD MAC, has been active under his own name, PETER GREEN SPLINTER GROUP since the 90's. This is an ambitious album in which he tackles the songs of Delta blues god ROBERT JOHNSON head-on, This is an ambitious work in which he tackles the music of ROBERT JOHNSON, the god of delta blues, head-on. The album features NIGEL WATSON, a guitarist who has been his friend since the 70's, ROGER COTTON, a keyboardist known for his work with JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUESBREAKERS, and LARRY TOLFREE, drummer of JOE JACKSON'S JUMPIN' JIVE, etc. The album also features the same drummer, LARRY TOLFREE, who has played with JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUESBREAKERS, etc, This is the second album of the group with the SPLINTER GROUP, featuring bassist NEIL MURRAY, who has played with GILGAMESH, NATIONAL HEALTH, WHITESNAKE, and BLACK SABBATH in the 90's. The album is a collection of songs by the group's members. The album features the first single "TERRAPLANE BLUES" from 1937, "WHEN YOU GOT A GOOD FRIEND", "32-20 BLUES", "LAST FAIR DEAL GONE DOWN", "LOVE IN VAIN", "KIND HEARTED WOMAN BLUES and "SWEET HOME CHICAGO" featuring guest PAUL RODGERS.
