Pembroke College Girls Choir, one of the UK's leading girls choirs! Anna Lapwood is not only a musician, but also a multi-faceted talent! The choir will sing new works by contemporary composers as well as unknown masterpieces! The Pembroke College Girls Choir was founded in October 2018 and quickly became recognized as one of the leading girls choirs in the U.K. With 18 members, ages 11-18, the choir sings twice a week in the college chapel and performs regularly with the college choir. Anna Lapwood is a conductor and organist who became Director of Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, when she was only 21 years old, and has given organ recitals throughout Europe. He is also an active presenter and has appeared on BBC Young Musicians 2020/21 and BBC Proms 2021. This album includes rarely recorded works, new arrangements, and premieres of new works, and features the beautiful voices of the Pembroke College Girls Choir singing works by contemporary composers.
