The soundtrack to the 1979 documentary film of The Who, "The Kids Are Alright," is now available on a 2-LP heavy vinyl set! The Who's 1979 documentary film soundtrack features the legendary "Drum Destruction" live performance on "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" in 1967, photographed by Art Kane in the Union Jack and featuring the iconic Carl Schulz statue in Morningside Heights, New York City, on the morning of Friday, April 5, 1968. It was taken on Friday morning, April 5, 1968, the day of The Who's first performance at the Fillmore East.It includes "Sparks," "Pinball Wizard," and "See Me, Feel Me" from Woodstock, and TV appearances of "Magic Bus" and "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere," recorded in the 1960s, and a wonderful performance of "A Quick One" from The Rolling Stones' TV show " It also features great performances of "A Quick One" and "While He's Away" from their appearance on The Rolling Stones' "Rock & Roll Circus" TV show. Of course, "I Can't Explain," "I Can See for Miles" and "Baba O'Riley" are also included.
