The 18th Chopin Competition Live in 2021! The 18th International Chopin Piano Competition held in October 2021 was postponed for one year due to the new corona virus, but the competition attracted an unprecedented level of talent from around the world, and the success of the Japanese contestants and the worldwide online streaming of the competition made the event an unprecedented success. The competition was also boosted by the success of Japanese contesters and the worldwide online streaming of the competition. The Polish National Chopin Institute (NIFC), the organizer of the competition, has released a series of live recordings of the competition (Blue Series) on its own label, featuring a performance by Jakub Kuslik, who won the 4th prize with Aimi Kobayashi and was also awarded the Mazurka Prize. Jakub Kuszlyk, who was considered a strong contender among the local Polish competitors, studied under Katařina Popova-Zidoron, the president of the jury, and was under different pressure than the other participants. As a result, Kushlik was honored with the 4th prize and the Polonaise Prize. Kushlik has also won the second prize at the Paderewski International Piano Competition, and we can expect great things from him in the future. Tokyo M-Plus
