Polskie Nagrania (Poland) is a keyboardist and electronic instrumentalist who played in EXODUS, one of the most famous progressive/symphonic rock bands in Eastern Europe and Poland in the 70's. After the band broke up, he is still active as a composer for TV and film music, etc. Polskie Nagrania's '89 album from Muza is now available on CD for the first time in Poland on GAD Records with additional bonus tracks. Popular and classic classical pieces such as Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor", Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody", Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition", Mozart's "Turkish March", etc. are performed by Casio CZ-5000 Cosmo, Roland SH-101, Yamaha RX-11, etc. The cold transparency and spacy expanse of the music is impressive and poetic, as is its Polish origin, perhaps due to the climate and atmosphere of the late 1980s.The music itself is familiar, but the album brings out more clearly the minor echoes and unique atmosphere unique to the former communist bloc! The master is a remastered recording from the original master tape. Bonus tracks include early/edited versions of 'Tocatta i fuga', 'II rapsodia wegierska', and 'Czardasz' from the main album.
