The content of the work became more "pianistic" and inspired. The last piano sonata, No. 52, is a work straight from Beethoven's lineage, and is a large work filled with both brilliant techniques and profound songs. Michael Keener was born in Switzerland in 1950 and is a veteran harpsichordist who studied under Leonhardt in Amsterdam.
