TALK TALK was a synth-pop group active in the UK music scene in the 1980s, when the New Romantic and New Wave movements were taking over. Their second studio album "IT'S MY LIFE", which is said to have greatly influenced later post-rock and alternative rock, is being reissued in 180 gram heavy analog format on half-speed master to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its release! TALK TALK was a synth-pop group active in the UK music scene in the 1980s when New Romanticism and New Wave were sweeping the scene. Their second studio album "IT'S MY LIFE", which is said to have greatly influenced later post-rock and alternative rock, will be newly reissued to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its release.The album was cut at half speed by Matt Corton at Metropolis Studios under the supervision of the band's drummer Lee Harris and Mark Hollis, son of original member Charlie Hollis who passed away in 2019, It will be available in 180 gram weight black analog. TALK TALK was formed in London, England in 1981, and although they were often compared to their contemporaries Duran Duran at the time of their debut, they released 5 albums in the 10 years from 1981 to 1991, and decided to release their works from the early New Romantic sound. In 1982, Colin Thurston, former engineer for David Bowie and known for producing Duran Duran's first two albums, joined the band as a producer. The band's debut album, "THE PARTY'S OVER," was produced by Colin Thurston, formerly an engineer for David Bowie and known for producing the first two Duran Duran albums.This album, which entered the UK Albums Chart at #21, attracted attention not only in the UK but also internationally. Their second album, "IT'S MY LIFE" was released in February 1984. (1/2)
