Soprano Fatma Said's debut album has been the talk of the town, winning many European awards, and now she is releasing her second album.Born in Egypt, Said began singing lessons at the age of 14, and later earned her Bachelor's degree from the Hans Eisler University of Music in Berlin in 2013, In 2016, she sang the acclaimed Pamino in The Magic Flute under the direction of Adam Fischer. In the same year, she also won the first prize at the 8th Veronica Dunn International Vocal Competition and was selected as one of the new generation of artists by BBC Radio 3, bringing her to international prominence. She has also performed extensively in Egypt as an "outstandingly talented soprano singer" and received an honorary award from the Egyptian National Council of Women. Her debut album "El Nour" received international acclaim, BBC Music Magazine Awards, Gramophne Awards, etc., and she has performed with popular singers in various performances, on TV, and for charity. Fatma Said's second album, "Kaleidoscope," was inspired by her love of dance from an early age.'From a very young age, I was accompanied everywhere by dancing. I learned many different styles, including ballroom, Latin, and Argentine tango. I have always felt inspired by the physical and internal movement of dance, whether with a partner or alone. It represents for me another way of expressing myself. Thinking about the potential repertoire for this album, I found myself drawn to songs from very different countries and people, all with a strong dance element. And the movement here has a double meaning for me. These songs move me emotionally and include dance steps and rhythms (different types of dance) in the expression of emotion and character. For me, these two meanings are interrelated as one. In other words, they are of one essence, both emotionally and physically. It is difficult to imagine music without dance, or dance without music.
