The band overcame various problems, including a change of vocalists and the departure of original member Michael Anthony, but stopped their activities in 2006. However, the band resumed their activities in 2011, releasing a new album and touring extensively, showing that they were still going strong, but on October 6, 2020, Eddie Van Halen passed away suddenly, and the band stopped their activities again.
