Triple Crown Records, one of the most important labels in the US indie scene, is releasing the long-awaited newest album by "Oso Oso", the best melody maker of alternative emo, in Japan. The new album will be released in Japan with a bonus track "gb/ol h/nf" (2018), a limited-edition single that became a hot topic due to its cool, fast-running guitar sound, which is in the lineage of US emo bands like THE GET UP KIDS and JIMMY EAT WORLD. OSO OSO is the band project of Jade Lilitri from Long Beach, NY, who has also released under the name STATE LINES on Triple Crown Records, an important label that represents the US indie scene. The band's second album, "The Yunahon Mixtape," released on their bandcamp in 2017, was described by Pitchfork as "reminiscent of Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Eat World, in the style of '00s indie rock and emo. The Yunahon Mixtape" was described by Pitchfork as "a style reminiscent of Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Eat World, and was picked up by several music media in Japan as well.The dry, clean-toned guitars, distinctive yet comfortable vocals, sad yet lyrical melodies that touch the heartstrings of the Japanese, and an excellent pop sense that would make even Rivers Cuomo proud. The ecstatic development that bursts out from the middle of the song makes one's heart pound again and again. He is the hottest artist in the "alterna-emo" scene."
