Antonin Dvorak

Description:

Antonin Dvorak (1841-1904), who will celebrate the 120th anniversary of his death in 2024, is the ultimate 2-CD best! About Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904) Dvořák, a leading composer of the Czech National Music School, was born in a village near Prague to an innkeeper, tavernkeeper and butcher. He was sent to work as a butcher to follow in his father's footsteps, but his desire for music was unquenchable, and he graduated from organ school. After turning 30, he won an Austrian National Scholarship, for which he was a member of the jury. With the encouragement of Plamus, who was a member of the jury, he was successful with "Slavonic Dances" and other works. In 1891, he received an invitation to become director of the National Conservatory of Music in New York, and in 1992 he moved to the United States. Inspired by the music there, Dvořák produced his masterpieces such as the symphony "From the New World," the cello concerto, and the string quartet "America" during his two and a half years in the U.S. He returned to Prague in 1895, where he spent his last years. He returned to Prague in 1895, where he spent the last years of his life. His style is characterized by easy-to-understand melodies that assimilate Czech and Bohemian ethnicity into Western styles, and his music never fails to stimulate the heartstrings of those who listen to it. He is also famous for being a hardcore railroad geek, and is the only major composer with a butcher's certificate. (June 2024, Yasushi Tanaka) Universal Music
