The Rolling Stones' "The Tattooed Man," which reached #2 in the UK and #1 in the US, is newly released in expanded multi-format to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its release! The newly remastered album will include nine additional previously unreleased tracks recorded around the same time. The 40th anniversary edition of The Tattooed Man includes the album's original "Hang Fire," (featuring jazz saxophone great Sonny Rollins) "Waiting for a Friend," and, of course, "Start Me Up," which has become one of the band's most popular songs since its release. It includes 11 remastered tracks. The deluxe edition also includes "Lost & Found: Rarities" and "Still Life: Wembley Stadium 1982. Lost & Found: Rarities contains nine songs that were written at the time the album was first released. The band added new vocals and guitars to finish those songs. Living in the Heart of Love" is one such song, a typical Stones rock number from that era.Here you can enjoy their first-rate playing, featuring energetic guitar riffs and superb piano. Lost & Found: Rarities also includes an extraordinary version of "Shame, Shame, Shame," recorded in 1963 by one of the band's blues heroes, Jimmy Reed, their interpretation of Dobie Gray's gem of a soul song "Drift Away (Wandering Without Tomorrow)," and a Reggae-style version of "Start Me Up. and their interpretation of Dobie Gray's soul gem "Drift Away" and a reggae version of "Start Me Up. Still Life (Wembley Stadium 1982)" is a must-see live performance from the "Tattooed Man" tour in London in June 1982. The 26 songs here are packed with mega-hits, from the opener "Under My Thumb" to the Stones' well-known "Blow the Night Away," "Honky Tonk Women," and "Brown Sugar.At this Wembley show, you will also hear covers of "Just My Imagination" by The Temptations, "Twenty Flight Rock" by Eddie Cochran, "Going to a Go-Go" by The Miracles, and the early days of rock and roll, Big Bopper's " Chantilly Lace" by Big Bopper at the dawn of rock 'n' roll. Also featured here are early live versions of "Start Me Up," "Neighbors," "Little T&A," and "Hang Fire," all songs from the then just-released "The Tattooed Man. The Tattooed Man (40th Anniversary Edition) is the follow-up to their classic 1973 album Goat Head Soup, which was reissued in 2020 and reached #1 on the album charts in the UK. This is the second time that a reissue of their inimitable album has topped the charts in the UK, following the groundbreaking 1972 album "The Rogue of Main Street", whose deluxe edition released in 2010 reached #1 on the charts.The original "Tattooed Man," produced by the Glimmer Twins with Chris Kimsey, topped the charts in the United States (where it went quadruple platinum), Canada, Australia, and most of Europe, and has earned numerous gold and platinum albums worldwide. The album has been awarded numerous gold and platinum albums around the world.
