This is the 12th original studio album released on July 18, 1990. This is the first time the album has been released on LP, and due to the recording time of the CD at the time of its release, it is being released on a higher-quality 45 rpm double-disc set. The album title is a combination of the English word "Jewel" and the Latin word "Luna" meaning "moon. The album was co-produced by Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics for seven of the ten songs, and Miho Nakayama, who wrote the lyrics and three of the songs ("Kuchibiru", "Sono Natsu", and "Tengoku e no Key"). The album version of the single "Adventures of the Goddesses," which was released at the same time, is included on the album, as well as "Korara no I Love You" composed by Kenjiro Sakiya, which was released as a single version in 1991 after the album release. Other composers on the album include Hideo Saito, Kenji Hayashida, Keizo Nakanishi, and Takao Konishi, giving the album a breath of fresh air.The album opens with "Kuchibiru" written and composed by Miho Nakayama, which evokes a fresh summer breeze, and contains ambitious songs such as "Savage Jewel," which is connected to the album title, and "La Mer of White Sand," which has a pleasant bossa nova touch.
