Andreas Reize、Bach (1685-1750):

Description:

Celebrating the 300th anniversary of the premiere of the "John Passion"! First performed by the St. Thomas' Church Choir in 1724! The first performance was given on April 7, 1724, the first Good Friday after J.S. Bach was appointed cantor (Thomas cantor/choral director), by the St. Thomas Church Choir (also known as St. Thomas Church Boys Choir, St. Thomas Church Choir Leipzig, etc.), a Leipzig boys choir with a history spanning some 800 years. It was performed on the first Good Friday after J.S. Bach assumed the position of cantor (Thomas cantor). In 2024, exactly 300 years after the first performance, the "premiere performers," the St. Thomas Church Choir and Andreas Reitze, who became the 18th cantor after J.S. Bach in September 2021, will release a recording of the "1724 First Draft Version"! Please enjoy the sound of the first performance, which has been restored after a lapse of 300 years. Andreas Reisse (Andreas Reise) was born in 1975 in Solothurn, Switzerland. He studied church music, keyboard, choral and orchestra conducting in Bern, Zurich, Lucerne, Basel and Graz.Since then, he has been invited to conduct at many theaters and concert halls, and has also led the Cantus Films Consort, a period instrument ensemble he founded, to record the world premiere of the complete Neapolitan version of Monteverdi's great work "The Crowning of Poppea" for the Rondeau label (ROP The orchestra's activities have been expanding and attracting more and more attention. In July 2023, he will release his first recording as a cantor, "J.S. Cappea's Crowning" (ROP 6237384), and in November 2024, he will release his first recording of "J.S. Cappea's Crowning" (ROP 6237384), a complete version of the Naples manuscript. J.S. Bach: Mass in B minor" (VROP405253/ROP405253) was released to favorable reviews. Tokyo M-Plus
