Composer Marco Pütz was born in Luxembourg in 1958. He studied saxophone, composition, and conducting in Liège, and began working as a composer in 1987, writing nearly 100 works for symphonic wind band, chamber music, children's musicals, string quartet, and orchestra, winning many awards. He has become internationally known. His music is centered on being accessible and enjoyable for both audience and performer. The recorded works are world premiere recordings with the exception of "Moods. The "Euphonian Voices" explores the expressive power of an instrument that rarely receives much attention, while the "Chapters of Life" contrasts joy and sorrow. The "Elegy" uses Bach's chorale as its theme, but the melody is transformed into various forms. Currents" was commissioned by the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture. The fluid melody eventually forms a climax, and the piece closes in a peaceful atmosphere. Naxos Japan
