The new French star of the generation, Valentin Tournet, will perform one of Rameau's most popular works with a group of famous singers. Valentin Tournet, a young conductor born in 1996, who has been giving a series of excellent performances at the forefront of the French classical music scene, recorded the complete "Plateaux," one of Rameau's most popular works, with famous singers such as Vidal, Ris and Wilder, who continue to excite the French opera world. The opera depicts the pranks of the great god Jupiter, who, in order to appease his wife Junon's jealousy by covering up the rumors of his infidelity, decides to show a false love affair with the ugly swamp nymph Platée, who is accompanied by frogs, and laugh at each other as a joke. It was a great success from the time of its premiere at the wedding celebration of the Dauphin Louis of France and Princess Marie-Therese of Spain in 1745, and was frequently performed again until Rameau's death. The new generation of Tournai, who will lead France in the 2020's, captured the ups and downs of the work well and brought out the dynamism and delicate emotional portrayal from Rameau's dynamic orchestration, while the singers, who are fluent in French, skillfully performed the work in the original French. The new generation of Tournai, who will lead the French 2020s in the home country, captures the ups and downs of the work well, drawing out dynamic and delicate emotional portrayal from Rameau's dynamic orchestration, and putting together a masterful performance highlighted by the skillful expression of the singers who know French. The instrumentalists include Pablo Barretti, the leader of Café Zimmermann, and Christopher Palameta, an oboe player with many solo albums to his credit. This new recording offers a pulse of France's "now" through the performance of ancient instruments in the historical space of Versailles. Naxos Japan
