Goran Filipetz is a virtuoso pianist especially renowned for his research and performance of Liszt's works. He is the co-founder and president of the Franz Liszt Society of Geneva, and his recordings of "Liszt: Paganini Exercises" (domestic edition NYCX-10139/imported edition 8.573458) and "Liszt: Hungarian Fantasy" (domestic edition NYCX-10188/imported edition 8.573866) were awarded the Budapest Liszt Society's Grand Prix. This album is a collection of his "favorites. Based on the fact that the great pianists of the past emphasized improvisation and transcription (arrangement), Filipescu's motto is to breathe life into his works by adding "free arrangements based on a creative spirit" without sticking to playing the score as it is. Even in these works, which are difficult to play by nature, he adds various arrangements to bring out the brilliant passages and bring out new charms of the works.In "La Campanella," placed at the end of the album, the two versions are combined and the freely ornamented arrangement is a masterpiece to listen to.
