A new boxed set of nocturnes has been added to the series to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of the artist. Fauré(1845-1924): Complete Chamber Music with Piano and Nocturnes The ALPHA label, which has been noted since its inception for its albums of ancient music filled with fresh musical experiences, has teamed up with contemporary piano virtuoso Eric Le Sage for the first time in earnest. Following the success of Schumann's complete works for piano and chamber music, the Fauré chamber music with piano series, which was released in 2011-13 to great acclaim, was boxed in 2015 but remained out of press for a long time and was expected to reappear. The long-awaited new edition, which will be released in 2024 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fauré's death, will be enhanced by the addition of the complete nocturnes performed solo by Le Sage, which appeared after the previous boxed release.From the cello version of the first song "After a Dream" to the piano trio completed just before the composer's death (in addition to the usual version, a clarinet trio version, which Fauré had originally conceived), the album includes the piano trio of Pajou (flute), Tharaud (piano), Daishin Kashimoto (violin), Salk (cello), Ebène The quartet, together with a splendid lineup of collaborators, gives us a wonderful balance of subtlety and subtle objectivity that only players who know France today can achieve. This will be an exquisite accompaniment to Fauré's musical world on the occasion of the anniversary. The engineering of Jean-Marc Renée, a master musician who is able to convey the diverse flavors of music from a capella to modern and contemporary music, is also reliable, making this a boxed set that makes good sense.
