Schwertzig is a contemporary Austrian composer. His works range from operas to German lieder in his unique tonal style and have been very popular. This album is the first in a series of Schwertzig's complete piano works, and Aya Cleburne, who has a good understanding of Schwertzig's works, has created a collection of works that includes the Bach-like "Prelude and Fugue," "Album Spellings," a collection of pieces dedicated to various figures, the lyrical "Five Nocturnes," and the beautifully scenic "Morning of Departure," a collection of four pieces that will bring beautiful scenes to your eyes. The four works are carefully performed. Aya Cleburne is a pianist born in Tokyo and living in Vienna. She has been collaborating with Šverczyk for 10 years and is actively promoting his works, including a chamber music recital at the Musikverein in Vienna in 2015 to celebrate his 80th birthday.
