New album by GRAND SLAM, a band that carries on the spirit of Phil Lynott's legacy (THIN LIZZY) in the modern age! GRAND SLAM was formed in 1984 by Phil Lynott with up-and-coming guitarist Lawrence Archer (STAMPEDE, ex-UFO, etc.) and keyboardist Mark Stanway (ex-MAGNUM) after THIN LIZZY broke up. The following year, 1985, Phil passed away suddenly and the band stopped its activities. 30 years have passed since then. In 2016, 30 years later, the band reunited with Mark Stanway and Lawrence Archer, and made a comeback with appearances at several festivals including Sweden Rock. The first full-length album "Hit The Ground" was released in 2019, but was a dud as it did not reach the fans.But in 2024, they completed their second album, Wheel Of Fortune! With a new bassist Rocky Newton (LIONHEART), Lawrence Archer and Mike Dyer have created a brilliant, GRAND SLAM-like album that will convince fans to buy into the band's music, and the songs "There Goes my Heart" and "Spitfire," for which a music video was also produced, are packed with guitar harmonies throughout! The album is filled with songs full of guitar harmonies, including "There Goes my Heart" and "Spitfire," for which a music video was also made. Lawrence's guitar playing on the Gibson Flying V, which fans have come to expect from the band, is a true British hard rock! The guitar playing on Lawrence's Gibson Flying V, which fans have come to expect from the band, is just as good as it gets on British hard rock! To coincide with the release of the new album, the previous "Hit The Ground" album has been reissued as "Hit The Ground - Revised". This is a release that is sure to please fans!
