Two versions of a lavish remix of the KyotoJazzMassive 30th-anniversary track are being released on vinyl as KAWASAKIRECORDS’ first 12-inch! The EP "KJMEOANDO," released digitally in 2024 and on vinyl in 2025, is a collaboration with the Echoes Of A New Dawn Orchestra (an alias of Jerobaom, who continues to release music via MCDE’s Space Grapes), the band currently supporting KyotoJazzMassive during their European live performances. It has been decided that the Art Of Tones Remix of the track "Power" and the Opolopo Remix of "Impulsive Procession" will be released on vinyl. The "Power" remix has been played by top European disco/house producers such as Dave Lee, Dr. Packer, and Young Pulse, and the original version reached No. 1 on Traxsource’s NuJazz/Broken Beats chart. As for the "Impulsive Procession" remix, Opolopo himself has ranked this remix No. 1 on his own DJ chart. This double A-side 12-inch single, featuring two popular remixers who have reworked Kyoto Jazz Massive’s live band recordings into more floor-friendly arrangements tailored for DJ use, is sure to be a valuable asset not only for house DJs but also for crossover DJs. The beautiful cover art—for which Shuya Okino handled not only the composition but also the photography and typography—will now be completed as a true work of art with the release of this vinyl edition.
