His guitarist, Journey, is a very popular American rock band that has earned several platinum and gold discs. Neal Schon, along with founding Journey member Greg Laurie (vocals, keys) and former Journey member Dean Castronovo (drums, vocals), started a project with the concept of "playing a setlist that covers the entire era of the band, Journey Through Time.The new release is a live video recording of their concert in San Francisco on February 9, 2018. The show, which featured Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, The Dead Daisies, Distinia, etc.) on bass and John Vern on keyboards, was a benefit show for the victims of the October 2005 fires in the northern Bay Area. The show featured a set of mainly 70's works, and the sold-out crowd went wild. The live album, titled "Journey Through Time," contains 29 songs from the show, including hits and classics such as "Don't Stop Believin'," "Separate Ways," and "Wheels in the Sky," as well as covers of songs by Santana and Tito Puente.
