The 20th album from New York-based jazz pianist Eishin Nose! A free-spirited trio featuring Eishin Nose (piano) alongside his longtime New York collaborators, Travis Sullivan (saxophone) and Bob Meyer (drums). Playful, free, comical, and romantic. Every note is born in the moment, expanding beyond genres and rules. This album captures the evolution of sound within Eishin Nose’s original compositions. Even within the same piece, each take reveals a completely different character—here lies the true essence of improvisation. I’ve been performing with Travis for 20 years and with Bob for the past six or seven, and whenever I’m in New York, we’ve been jamming together almost every week. Travis is from my generation, while Bob, now over 80, still possesses astonishing energy—this is music that resonates across generations. After years of sessions, I am truly delighted that it has finally taken shape as a single work. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Bob and Travis for their wonderful performances, as well as to Ryan, Katsu, and Takada for their support with recording, mixing, and art design, and to everyone who listens. -Eishin Nose
