This work, which combines the characteristics of a symphony and a song cycle, celebrates the "euphoria of life" and "quiet resignation," and strongly reflects the worldview of Mahler's late period. The infinite colors of the large orchestra, which makes full use of harp, mandolin, and various percussion instruments, are also unique to Mahler. Lotto captures the sounds of all the instruments without spilling a single note, and the score is lushly and densely articulated. From the overwhelming forte of the tutti to the delicate pianissimo of the small group, the entire performance is filled with ear-catching sounds. She excels in a wide range of genres from Baroque music to Rossini, French songs, and religious music, and her rich bass, soft voice, and clarity of language expression are appealing. She is well known for her stage presence and dramatic expression. ＜Andrew Staples Andrew Staples is a tenor singer from England who has performed internationally in the fields of opera, religious music, and song. He has appeared at major opera houses and music festivals around the world, and has performed with many famous conductors, including Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Emanuel Ayim. His repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary works, and he is especially acclaimed for his performances of works by Handel, Mozart, Elgar, and Britten.
