This is the first solo album in three years by Masumitsu Miyamoto, one of Japan's leading baritone singers, and his first Lieder album. The album is the first solo Lieder album by Masumitsu Miyamoto, one of Japan's leading baritone singers, and the first Lieder album by him in three years. These works represent the "spirit of music" that each composer reached, and are a deep and universal collection of works that look at "death" and "life" of human beings, as if to question the current era of forced hardship. This program is a tribute to the recital given by Miyamoto's teacher, Daumi Takahashi, in October 1985. Miyamoto pays homage to his teacher, and while remaining close to and in dialogue with him, he liberates his own soul and moves toward the essence of music. Miyamoto's deep voice, which tugs at the heartstrings of the listener, shakes the listener's heart throughout the album, and the album ends with "Rakuyosu," which seems to shine a ray of hope.
