ONJT is the abbreviation for Otomo Yoshihide New Jazz Trio, which is Otomo's new jazz project that has continued with ONJE (ensemble), ONJQ (quintet), and ONJO (orchestra), but this time in a trio format. On November 25, 2010, the 40th anniversary of Albert Ayler's death (Ayler's body was found in East River, NY on November 25, 1970). The famous song "Lonely Woman" (Ornette Coleman) will be revived in a modern interpretation! How has free jazz or improvised music changed in the 40 years since Albert Ayler's death? Here are some suggestions to answer the question! Otomo's most favorite song "Lonely Woman," the opening track of Ornette Coleman's "Jazz to Come" (1959), has a very memorable melody and is loved by many jazzmen. Here we have three performances in three formats, quintet, trio, and solo, each with a completely different look and feel.I wouldn't be bored at all with an entire album of "Lonely Women". doubtmusic
