Description:
The main character, Hiromi Minami, is a friendly and sociable FBI special agent who came to Japan from the U.S. as an exchange student for a limited time. Although he has lost the sight in both eyes due to an accident in the past, he is called the "last man" in the sense that he is the last trump card to bring a case to a close with his keen analytical skills, sense of smell, and sense of touch. The man assigned to attend to Minami is Gomichi Shintaro, head of the National Police Agency's Personnel Exchange Planning Office. As a member of the venerable "Gomichi family" that has served as Commissioner of the National Police Agency for generations, Shintaro volunteered for the field rather than a career in the police force, and he has made an overwhelming number of arrests in the Investigation Division. For one reason or another, he has an "extraordinary sense of justice" that will never allow evil to go unpunished, and he has many enemies within the police force because of his willingness to do whatever it takes to catch criminals. A blind FBI agent and a lone detective who will stop at nothing to apprehend a criminal form an unlikely buddy team to tackle a difficult case. Original soundtrack for the drama "The Last Man - The Blind Investigator". The music is composed by Hideakira Kimura, who mainly works in film music, and the instrumental band "mouse on the keys".
