Except for No. 39, No. 40, and the overture to "The Marriage of Figaro," all of them are new to the repertoire! Recently, Takashi Asahina, a maestro of Haydn released from WEITBLICK, has been highly acclaimed for his masterful performance of Haydn. He is often regarded as a specialist of music after Beethoven, but in classical music, he convinces listeners with his sublime interpretations that are sublime while leaning toward romanticism. In his later years, Asahina rarely conducted Mozart symphonies, but these performances at the Kurashiki Music Festival are one of the few exceptions. Asahina appeared at the 2nd Kurashiki Music Festival through the 10th. Conducting the temporarily organized Kurashiki Music Festival Festival Festival Orchestra, he performed Beethoven's symphonies from the youngest numbers, and Mozart's symphonies from the last numbers. The members of this Kurashiki Music Festival Festival Festival Orchestra are amazing.The lineup of Japan's leading soloists and concert masterclass masters was so impressive that even a short list of names (in no particular order) would be too long to mention: Chikashi Tanaka, Koichiro Harada, Hamao Fujiwara, Yoko Kubo, Masuko Ushioda, Kishiko Kazumi, Ikuko Kawai (above, violin), Junji Suganuma, Masatsuki Tonomura (above, viola), Kenichiro Yasuda, Hakuro Mori, Noboru Kamimura, Nobuko Yamazaki (above, cello), Shokoku Kim, Takashi Shirao (above, flute), Hiroshi Matsuzaki, Hiroshi Yamagishi (above, horn), and many more. Nobuko Yamazaki (cello), Chang-Kook Kim, Takashi Shirao (flute), Yutaka Matsuzaki, Hiroshi Yamagishi (horn), and many others. Please see the CD manual for details. The ensemble, with a membership of more than 30 musicians each time, always delivered an attractive performance filled with a lively and energetic spirit, while maintaining Asahina's thick sound. Another highlight of the concerto was concerto No. 21 with the virtuoso Ejiri Minami, which was a true testament to the beauty of the romanticist Asahina. We were very fortunate to have the recordings that had been kept by Kurashiki City, but we had to start the process by checking the contact information of each performer, and after several years of planning, we finally managed to release the recordings. Mr. Chitoku, the son of the maestro, who also willingly agreed to release the recordings, said, "Every time I came back from Kurashiki, I told my family how it had been.
