The music of Space Battleship Yamato is performed by a gorgeous full orchestra. Space Battleship Yamato" was a 26-episode TV animation series broadcast from October 1974 to March 1975. The result was "Symphonic Suite Space Battleship Yamato". (Only "Great Love" is from the movie "Farewell Space Battleship Yamato: Warriors of Love"). Iskandar" was not included in the suite, but was specially performed due to the discovery of an autograph score.Symphony Space Battleship Yamato" is a large-scale work composed by Kentaro Haneda as a four-movement symphony using the Yamato motif, and was first performed on May 4, 1984, at the Yupo-to and Kikan Hoken Hall in Gotanda, Tokyo. Now, in the year of the 50th anniversary of Yamato's birth, a live concert recording of the Yamato symphonic work by two composers, Yasushi Miyagawa and Kentaro Haneda, performed by Miyagawa's son Akira (conductor) and granddaughter Tomoko (piano), is available! Fuminori Shinozaki (violin), Michiko Hayashi (soprano), and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra performed together in a wonderful performance full of passion and romance.
