Forty years have passed since the release of "Rambo" in 1982, which depicted the sorrow and suffering of a Vietnam veteran, and the series continues to evolve. All three films were composed by Jerry Goldsmith, one of the greatest film music composers of the 20th century, and are now available in a color 180-gram weight vinyl box set with a gorgeous booklet! Based on David Morrell's 1972 novel of the same name, FIRST BLOOD was released in 1982 with Sylvester Stallone playing John Rambo and directed by Ted Kotcheff, and immediately became a mega hit, with two sequels produced in 1985 and 1988, Two sequels were produced in 1985 and 1988, and a trilogy was already completed in the 1980s before the character was revived by Stallone in 2008 and 2019. The iconic character of Rambo evolved from a persecuted Vietnam veteran in the first film to a reluctant government operative and then a mercenary in Afghanistan in the later films.The character of Rambo, played by Sylvester Stallone, has a memorable melancholy theme ("It's A Long Road") that expresses the loneliness of the first film, Jerry Goldsmith's music, where he provides an intense, dark and heavy, brilliant score that expresses sadness. As the series progressed, the degree of action scenes in the films increased, with exotic atmospheres, powerful music, and a greater commitment to action and adventure, making this one of Goldsmith's finest works in the genre. This is a very limited edition release of Goldsmith's trilogy in a newly mastered sound. The Japanese commentary and obi are not included because this is an "Imported Version: Domestic Distribution Specification. The content is the same as the import version.
