Treasure Ark, a series that selects high-quality live recordings! The long-awaited and trouble-free Japan tour of "Californication" on January 13, 2000 at Pacifico Yokohama is now released! The band's 7th album "Californication" (2000), which became their biggest selling album, was released on January 13, 2000 at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan! In 1992, after the band's big breakthrough, John Frusciante suddenly returned to Japan after the Omiya show and left the band. In 1997, the band came to Japan to perform at Fuji Rock, but a typhoon hit the country. The show, which took place in the pouring rain so heavy that the audience could not see the road ahead, has become a legend. The guitarist at that time was Dave Navarro. For "Californication," John Frusciante returned to the band, and for Japanese fans, this time around! The Japanese fans must have been very moved by the return of John Frusciante for "Californication.The "Californication" tour started around the time of the album's release in June 1999, and proceeded on a relatively slow schedule around Europe until the end of the year, when the band embarked on a furious tour of North America from the end of March to September 2000. The tour in Japan was held from January 8 to 14, 2000, with three shows at Nippon Budokan, this show at Pacifico Yokohama, and a total of five shows at Osaka-jo Hall. In this tour, the songs from the Dave Navarro era were not included, perhaps as a tribute to John's return to the band. Other than that, the band played a wide variety of songs, but on this day, they mainly played songs from "Californication", "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" (1991), and "The Uplift Mofo Party Plan" (1987). The audience was as excited as one would expect, and with Free MCing in simple Japanese, one could feel the atmosphere of the venue on that day. This is a must-have for fans in Japan, as it contains a near-full recording of the setlist from that night.
