Gary Keuper's masterpiece, featuring many of the same people who played on Van Morrison's Woodstock recordings, is now available in a limited paper jacket edition. Gary Keuper's only album, 1971's "Shoot for the Moon," recorded at Beardsville Studios, is a hidden masterpiece of a Woodstock album. Although the detailed biography of Keuper (vocals, acoustic guitar, and piano) is unknown, the album includes a number of songs from Van Morrison's Woodstock recording of the previous year, "Street Choir" (1970), and the classic live performance of "It's Too Late to Stop Now" (1974). The band is backed up by musicians from the Woodstock area, including John Platania (guitar) and Jeff Rabes (piano, organ, ex-Apple Pie Motherhood Band), both members of the Caledonia Soul Orchestra, which participated in the classic live performance "It's Too Late to Stop Now" (1974). Producers include the Charles River Valley Boys' collection of Beatles covers, Country Country (1966), Tom Paxton's The Thing I Notice Now (1968), Earth Opera (1968), Paul Siebel's Peter K. Siegel is especially known for producing albums for Elektra Records, including Woodsmoke and Oranges (1970).
