Vivian Girls, a popular American girl trio that disbanded in 2014, has miraculously reunited and released a new album for the first time in 8 years! After releasing their third album "Share The Joy" in 2011, the New York three-piece girl band Vivian Girls regrettably disbanded in 2014. After that, members Katie Goodman (bass/chorus) and Ali Kohler (drums/chorus on their second album "Everything Goes Wrong") moved to Los Angeles and continued their respective music careers (Katie with La Sera, Ali with Upset and Best Coast). They are now married, expecting a baby, and living the life of mothers. Meanwhile, Kathy Ramone (guitar/vocals) continued her solo career in Brooklyn and her band The Babies with Kevin Morby, but moved to Los Angeles in 2018 after a phone call with Katie about doing music together again. Then, in the spring of 2018, the girls began practicing in secret, and by the fall of that year they were already ready to record an album, with Rob Barbato (Darker My Love), who also worked on La Sera and Kevin Morby's albums, as producer, and two The production of "Memory" took place over two sessions.The darkness of the heart has always haunted the songs of Vivian Girls, and in this film, too, personal thoughts about toxic relationships, the false promise of new love, struggles with mental health, and the search for ways to accept oneself in such situations are on full display, and the wonder of it is a major It is fascinating.
