A marvelous work that encompasses an inexhaustible repertoire of the ancient and modern. In 2020, the world changed dramatically as the new coronavirus hit the news at the beginning of the year. Four full years have passed since then, and in the spring of 2020, a state of emergency was declared, cutting off human interaction and bringing everything to a halt. Many precious lives were lost. Under such circumstances, I was playing the flute at home, trying to figure out what to do. I could not play in an ensemble, so I took unaccompanied sheet music from the music rack and practiced. Sometimes I would go to a recording studio in Chiba called "G-Lube" and have them make a video and publish it on YouTube. In the meantime, some people advised me to make a CD of more unaccompanied pieces, and I decided to do so. Mr. Yoshihiro Tange of Muramatsu Musical Instrument Sales also gave me a lot of information about the songs. Here we have completed a CD with a mixture of old and new pieces. I would like to thank Mr. Keiichi Sato, the engineer, and everyone who helped me. I hope this CD has been of some help to you. The flute sounds as if colorful birds are throwing their songs from here and there in the treetops of the forest.It is a marvelous work that encompasses an inexhaustible repertoire of the old, the new, and the east."
