Inspired by the sight of an “artificial paradise” witnessed during dental treatment and the loss of past sample recordings, the album explores the disconnection between memory and culture. Reconstructing fragments of lost sound, it creates an auditory space where serene ambience and digital distortion intertwine. This ambitious work goes beyond mere nostalgia, redefining the past as a medium for new emotions. The artwork was created by Abner Hirschberger, an artist based in Indiana, USA. His paintings abstractly and organically reconstruct the plains of North Dakota—his native landscape—and deeply resonate with the album’s themes of oblivion, decay, and artisanal texture. OPN has been a driving force in experimental music innovation for the past 20 years. With *Eccojams*, they demonstrated the origins of vaporwave, and with *RPlusSeven* and *GardenofDelete*, they redefined sonic expression in the digital age. They have also composed film scores for *Good Time*, *Uncut Diamonds*, and *Bring Ring*, and are part of the collective MartySupreme. They are known for their collaborations with The Weeknd, Charli XCX, and Iggy Pop.
