Bibio celebrates his milestone with a "blessing" of synths, drum machines, and electric guitars on his 10th album, "BIB10. Bibio, who has captivated listeners with his one-of-a-kind sound through a variety of musical styles, has released his 10th album, "BIB10," on WARP RECORDS. I like the contrast between albums. When I finish an album, I want to do something different with the next one," says Stephen Wilkinson, a.k.a. Bibio. Throughout the production of his previous albums, he has flitted with great grace through electronica, ambient, folk, pop, indie, funk, soul, and whatever other sounds he decides to explore. 2019's album, Ribbons, is his own "psychedelic folk" album, which he describes as a "psychedelic folk" album. organic, woody sound" with a "psychedelic folk" vibe, but he says he decided early on in the making of this album to make heavy use of synths, drum machines, and electric guitars.The result is an album of heavy grooves, hypnotic swirling guitar loops, lilting funk beats, silky smooth tonal disco, and textured soul explorations that are one-of-a-kind, a sound that no one but Bibio could produce. The tones he weaves are rich and deep, resonating and evoking a radiant warmth around them. One of the songs that clearly demonstrates this is the opening track, "Off Goes the Light. In this track, Wilkinson's outstanding vocals blend beautifully with the interlocking guitar melodies and immersive synth soundscape. On "Potion," on the other hand, Wilkinson pushes the vocal envelope in a more high-level and innovative way, with Prince in mind (the self-titled second album is particularly influenced by the Prince album). In other words, there is a futuristic electronic funk that extends not only through the range of the sound, but also through the overall feeling. At first listen, this album seems to be the most electronic of Bibio's body of work, but the guitars are firmly present in its foundation.The domestic CD will include a commentary, bilingual lyrics, and bonus tracks.
