A collection of harp works composed in the 20th century. The harp is an instrument with a unique tone and special playing technique not found in other instruments, and it provides new inspiration for composers. This has a positive effect on the performer as well, who has the opportunity to discover new aspects of the instrument. Julia Wacker has been principal harpist of the Basel Festival Orchestra since 2006 and of the Swiss orchestra Basel Sinfonietta since 2017. She has performed with the Cologne WDR Symphony Orchestra, the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt, the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. In 2017 she participated in the International Chamber Music Competition in Lugano with her flute, viola and harp trio and was a finalist! She is a member of the Tokyo M-Plus
