EBO TAYLOR(77')", a masterpiece of Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeat with a horn intro as strong as Fela Kuti's "Water No Get Enemy", and "Heaven", which is known as a sampling source, will be reissued in 2025. Reissued again in 2025, this time from STRUT. This time from STRUT. Restored and remastered by Frankie Francis' (Sofrito) The Carvery and See Why Audio, the sound quality is promised to be improved. This alone is reason enough to buy it back. Evo Taylor, now prominent enough to be featured on "Jazz Is Dead," had an unhappy time until about the late 2000s. As his works are gradually being unearthed, this album, reissued in 2012, is a significant contribution to the growing momentum of his reappraisal. Although "Heaven" tends to get most of the attention, "Ntsir A" led by Pat Thomas, a close friend of the band, is a perfect example of highlife from the late 70's to early 80's. The modern and elegant sound of the band is a model for the current highlife bands in Ghana and Nigeria, including Santrofi.
