Formed in 1990 by Volker Janacek (drs/vo), Peter Terhoeven (g), and Robert Valet (key), the German progressive hard/symphonic rock band SOLAR PROJECT has been active for over 30 years including the time of its predecessor band. As the title suggests, this album is a must-have for prog rock fans. As the title suggests, this album is a cover of Modest Mussorgsky's piano suite "Picture at an Exhibition" (PICTURE AT AN EXHIBITION), which is famous among prog rock fans for its cover version by ELP, with their typical prog metal to hard symphonic arrangement. Unlike the ELP version, which also included the original song, the composition is relatively faithful to the original song, and the tension of the rock sound, which is a characteristic of the original song, is further amplified. A new original song "The Swan Song" is included as a bonus track.
