Description:
Trombone prodigy Svoboda Cage, a collection of works by Stockhausen and others. Trombonist Svoboda has been captivating us with such delightful programs as the hugely entertaining Wagner parody CD, "Do You Like Wagner? The SACD layer includes surround sound, so you can enjoy not only the music but also the acoustics. The SACD layer includes surround sound as well, so you can enjoy not only the music but also the acoustics. Scelsi has turned Mantram into a speech-like piece, using breaths, breathes, and instrumental tones. It is a "surrouning sound" piece with no beginning, middle, or end. The trombone, and then Svoboda's voice, echoes like a homily. Please pay attention to Svoboda's strange technique! The *Cage work is a piece for eight trombones, taken from the concerto "1957-58" for piano and orchestra, played at various tempos, and recorded in multiple recordings. Each recording is like a canon, although it is hard to tell. It is a mysterious work that will surprise you with the various tones that Svoboda produces, and the occasional moments of silence will remind you of your own existence. This is a piece that should definitely be enjoyed in surround sound. Invasion" by Stockhausen is from the "Tuesday" section of the opera "Licht," in which Michael (trumpet/good) and Lucifer (trombone/evil) engage in a musical struggle. Stockhausen wrote this "Tuesday" because of Svoboda.Furthermore, this excerpted solo version of "Invasion" was created "because Svoboda can do it," Stockhausen said. One of the characteristics of the opera "Licht" is that the score also instructs the performers to move their bodies in various ways. On this disc, you can see Svoboda moving back and forth, left and right, jumping, and so on. NONO's work is a piece that is both a "pre" piece and an "after" piece, moving back and forth. It is a piece with many unstable elements, but it is a mysterious piece with many unexpected moments, such as the sudden appearance of a tone cluster-like section in the lower register with electronic instruments and trombones. Mike Svoboda, a trombonist and composer born in Guam in 1960, worked with Stockhausen from 1984-95. He has performed with many world-class orchestras as well as chamber music and jazz groups. He has worked on more than 300 premieres. King International
