Miriam Feuerzinger, a beautiful Austrian antique soprano who flourished in the world of old music. Feuerzinger, who won Germany's prestigious Echo Classics Award in 2014 for her Graupner's Cantata Collection (CHR 77381), has made her name and voice heard around the world, and the German countertenor is also a member of the vocal ensemble Stimwerk, He has recorded Graupner again as a duo with Franz Witzum! Christoph Graupner (1683-1760) studied under Johann Kuhnau, who was the cantor of St. Thomas Church in Leipzig.After Kuhnau's death, Telemann declined the offer to succeed him as cantor of St. Thomas Church, and Graupner was offered the position, but his employer at the time, Count Ernst Ludwig of Darmstadt, did not give his permission. In the end, J.S. Bach took over the position of cantor. Despite being as popular as Telemann, Handel, and Bach at the time of his death, his vast output remained largely unseen until the latter half of the 20th century, and this collection of cantatas by Feuerzinger and Witzig is a further step in the reevaluation of the "Darmstadt Master.
