Description:
Here you go, Berezovsky's latest disc for 2018. What a concerto live without a conductor! Berezovsky's long-awaited 2018 latest disc is the concerto live in Moscow in April 2017. It is Brahms No. 1 and Stravinsky, and the orchestra is the Russian State Symphony Orchestra. However, Yurovsky, who is the music director as of 2018, does not appear, and what a surprise, no conductor. Classical or Shostakovich piano concertos are sometimes performed without a conductor, but the Brahms No. 1, which is called a "symphony with piano," and the Stravinsky, whose first movement has a long orchestra-only presentation, and whose first movement is full of complex variations, made me feel uneasy, but as expected, the Russian National Symphony Orchestra gave a magnificent performance. The Russian National Symphony Orchestra played with aplomb. Berezovsky is the type of musician who burns up live in front of an audience, and he is much more divine in that way, but here, too, he gave an astonishing performance at a concert in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Berezovsky tends to prefer concertos in which the conductor dominates with his own personality to those in which he is the general and enjoys the ensemble with his colleagues, and he has stated that he wanted these two pieces to be interpreted as chamber music as well.Of course, Berezovsky conducts the opening and tutti sections, but in Russia, there originally existed a conductor-less orchestra called "Persimfans" in 1922, just after the revolution, which had a tradition of performing Prokofiev's piano concertos and other works with the composer. The Russian National Symphony Orchestra used to be one of the top-ranked orchestras in Moscow, and even without a conductor, the ensemble is precise, and the virtuosity of each player in the Stravinsky is not lacking in any way. Berezovsky's piano playing is becoming more and more mature, and his interpretation of Brahms is very impressive, with plenty of volume and gravity. His first Stravinsky was like a concerto grosso. The sharpness is outstanding, depicting a dynamic world that is truly unique to Stravinsky. King International
