DARK FUNERAL, the kings of Swedish black metal, have released their sinister and demonic new masterpiece "We Are The Apocalypse". Despite numerous member changes, DARK FUNERAL has continued to support the Swedish scene as one of the main bands of the second generation of black metal, alongside legendary icons such as MARDUK, EMPEROR, and DARKTHRONE. The band continues to reach new heights and drags us into further evil visions with their seventh studio album "We Are The Apocalypse", their first in six years since "Where Shadows Forever Reign" (2016). This album was written in the midst of a raging new coronavirus and contains some of their most aggressive and expansive songs.Led by the indomitable spirit and ambition of lead guitarist and songwriter Lord Ahriman, this album is a satisfying experience for the band. It is a polished blend of many new experiments, a sinister atmosphere that sets the band apart from its peers, and a sound that is both technical and frantic. The album was mixed by Daniel Bergstrand (Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames) and mastered by Paul Logus (Anthrax, Amon Amarth, Armored Saint) to create a massive sound. The song "Let the Devil In," released prior to the release of this album, is a wonderful song that Lord says "contains the true darkness and spirit of DARK FUNERAL. The music video, which leaves a strong impact, was shot in Wroclaw, Poland, produced by Grupa 13.
