The latest album from the gifted Spanish composer and pianist is "Sorrow of the Earth," an appeal for global environmental conservation. Born in Barcelona in 1962, Guinobaldo studied piano and composition at the Barcelona Conservatory and in London, and as a pianist, he is known for his work in Spanish music, including Romanticism, Turina, Granados, and Albeniz. As a pianist, he is well known for his performance of Spanish music, including Romantic, Turina, Granados, and Albeniz, and has also accompanied Maria Bayo and Flores. As a composer, he has composed numerous classical works, film scores, and musicals, including "Sea and Sky," written in Catalan, and the official music for the World Swimming Championships in 2003 and 2013. He is also known as a Granados specialist and has an overwhelmingly popular reputation, from classical music to piano performances of his own compositions. On this album, Guinobarto's third piano concerto, the symphonic work "Gaudi's Dream," inspired by the city of Barcelona, is placed first, followed by "Sorrow of the Earth," a work that addresses the urgent need to protect the global environment.
