An important performance box containing all of the Baroque & Renaissance music from the recordings on Erato of conductor Michel Corbo, who died in September 2021.Born in Switzerland, Michel Corbo (1934-2021) was an influential conductor of choral works and opera. From a young age, Corbo was a baritone who specialized in church music and hoped to establish a "singing orchestra. In 1964, producer Michel Garcin signed Corbo and his colleagues to a contract with Elato to record a new world of music. and signed a contract with Erato to create an extensive discography. While reinforcing the presence of Bach and others, he expanded to Handel, Purcell, Vivaldi, and vocal works by composers such as Carissimi, Delalande, Charpentier, and Monteverdi, who had not been performed or recorded much before, above all to do courtesy to the composer. While actively incorporating the period era with the times, he also became the conductor of the Gulbenkian Choir and Orchestra of Lisbon on modern instruments, and many of his recordings to Erato's have been made by these two groups.One-quarter of the 74 CDs are on CD for the first time, and have been remastered at 24bit/192kHz by Art & Son Studio, Annecy from the original master tapes for this boxed set. The lyrics are not included in the boxed set, in order to make them available to as many listeners as possible at a low price. The recordings in which I only conducted and participated in the chorus, or only supervised the chorus, are not included here. *Because this is an imported product, the item (including jacket, outer vinyl, outer box, case, enclosure, etc.) may have minor scratches, folds, scuffs, dents, tears, stains, crushed corners, scratches on the disc surface that do not affect playback, dirt, image differences, individual differences, etc. at the time of delivery.
