Mezzo-soprano Léa Desendre makes her debut as an exclusive member of Erato! In recent years, new talents have emerged one after another in the world of French classical music. Léa Desendrée, a mezzo-soprano diva, was selected at the age of 20 for "Le Jardin des Voix," a project by conductor William Christie to develop the talents of young vocalists, and was named Vocal Discovery of the Year at the 2017 French Victoire Classical Music Awards. She is a particularly interesting character who embodies the "male/female" duality and explores the profundity of the work through her engaging singing style. The gender ambiguity that plays such an important role in so many operatic narratives provides an endless source of dramatic and musical inspiration. In this exclusive debut recording for Erato, Cecilia Bartoli and Veronique Jans perform with Rea in duets, and their teacher William Christie plays harpsichord in a work by Coupland.
